Payroll outsourcing · For companies

Your payroll accounting. In your name. Without your own payroll position.

We run your company's complete payroll administration on a dedicated Abacus client set up in your name. Payroll run, social insurance, withholding tax, salary certificates: done. Your only task each month: check and approve payments.

  • Your own Abacus client: your data, your company name on every payslip
  • Fixed price per payslip: no hourly meter, Abacus licence included
  • You remain the employer: your own contracts, your own insurance schemes, your own account

One month of payroll outsourcing

Report. Check. Approve. Done.

The payroll run happens at our end, the money stays at yours: no payment leaves your account without your approval.

What we take over

The whole payroll administration. Not just the payroll run.

Monthly payroll run

Payslips for all employees: monthly salary, hourly wages, 13th month salary, bonuses, expenses, benefits in kind. Checked under the four-eyes principle, on time for payday.

Social insurance and withholding tax

AHV/IV/EO, ALV, BVG, UVG, KTG, family allowances (FAK) and withholding tax in all cantons: registered, settled and reported Swissdec-compliant (ELM).

Joiners, leavers, changes

Registrations with the compensation office and pension fund, final settlements on leaving, salary changes, changes in workload. We keep your employee master data up to date.

Absences and claims

Accident, sickness and maternity notifications to SUVA, insurers and the compensation office, including daily benefit settlements and reimbursement claims.

Year-end work

Salary certificates, AHV salary statement, UVG and KTG salary declarations, BVG salary report, withholding tax statement, payroll journal for your auditors.

Dedicated contact person

One payroll specialist knows your company, answers your employees' salary questions and is backed up by the team. No holiday gaps, no loss of expertise.

Your own Abacus client

Runs in your name. Belongs to you.

We set up a dedicated client for your company on Abacus, Switzerland's number one business software, Swissdec-certified. Payslips and salary certificates carry your company name, not ours. Your data is kept separate from other customers, and in MyAbacus you can see at any time what we see: payroll journal, payslips, reports, pending changes.

What your own Abacus client means for you

  • Your company name on every payslip and every salary certificate. Your employees notice no difference from an in-house payroll.
  • No licence of your own, no updates, no server: running Abacus is included.
  • Read access for management, fiduciary and auditors, at any time in MyAbacus.
  • Accounting voucher for your financial accounting per cost centre, as a file or via interface.
  • No lock-in: if you switch, we hand over the client including payroll journal and master data.

Cost comparison

Cheaper than a fiduciary and an in-house position. Combined.

In-house payroll accounting means: a specialist who keeps on top of the payroll run, the reporting and social insurance law, plus payroll software and a fiduciary for the year-end closing and special cases. With payroll outsourcing you pay a fixed price per payslip.

Payrolling or payroll outsourcing?

Two models. One contact person.

The two can be combined: external staff and contractors via payrolling, your permanent employees via payroll outsourcing. One portal, one specialist, one contractual partner.

Who it is for

For companies that want to focus on their core business.

SMEs with 5 to 250 employees

Too small for a dedicated payroll position, too big to run payroll on the side. Management focuses on the core business.

Start-ups and scale-ups

First employees, no HR yet: we set up the Abacus client and social insurance schemes, you build the team.

Swiss subsidiary of a foreign group

Swiss payroll under local law, reporting in English to headquarters. Without your own HR department in Switzerland.

When your payroll person leaves

Retirement, resignation, extended absence: we take over the running Abacus client within 30 days, even mid-year.

All questions and answers

What is the difference between payrolling and payroll outsourcing?

With payrolling (staff leasing), RM Payroll is the legal employer of your external specialists. With payroll outsourcing, you remain the employer with your own employment contracts and your own social insurance schemes. We run the payroll accounting in your name on a dedicated Abacus client. The two can be combined: external staff via payrolling, permanent employees via payroll outsourcing, one contact person.

What do I have to do myself each month?

Two things: report changes (joiners and leavers, salary changes, absences, variable pay components) and approve the payments. You receive the payment file and payroll list for checking; the salaries only go out once you approve them in e-banking. We take care of everything else.

Who owns the data in the Abacus client?

You do. The client runs in your company name, your data is kept separate from other customers, and if you terminate, we hand over the client including payroll journal and master data as an Abacus export or standard file. Running, licensing and updating Abacus are included in the price.

How long does switching from a fiduciary or an in-house solution take?

Usually 30 days. We take over master data and cumulative salary figures from your previous system, reconcile the social insurance schemes and run the first payroll in parallel with the old one. Switching is also possible during the year; the turn of the year is ideal.

What does payroll outsourcing cost?

A fixed price per payslip, depending on the number of employees and complexity (hourly wages, withholding tax, several cantons), plus an annual flat rate for salary certificates and declarations. No hourly billing for queries, no licence fee for Abacus. Indicative: from CHF 32 per payslip. You receive the quote within 24 hours.

Can my employees use MyAbacus?

Yes. Employees see their payslips and salary certificates in the portal and the app, record expenses and absences and put salary questions directly to the payroll specialist, without going through your management.

Who is liable for errors in the payslips?

We are liable for our work within the scope of the mandate agreement. We work according to ISO 9001:2015-certified processes and the four-eyes principle; salary reporting runs Swissdec-certified, which rules out transmission errors to compensation offices and insurers.

Quote within 24 hours.

Number of employees, wage types, cantons: that is all we need. You receive a fixed price per payslip and a start plan for switching within 30 days.
